John Ross Storey searches out small family vineyards throughout California with the goal of making unique wines with a sense of place representing the true vineyard identity. Along with this vision he believes that oak should only be used to enhance a wine, not mask the beautiful fruit flavors produced by the quality vineyards he works with. These lightly-oaked wines are a hallmark of his new wine making venture.

| Description
|
| Far from the usual California wine is the 2005 Paso Robles Tempranillo, Cielo Grande Vineyard offering. It’s perfect for those wanting a new vinuous treat. Native to Spain, the grape is their answer to Cabernet Sauvignon. A plate of figs wrapped in Serrano ham pairs perfectly with this seductive drink. It includes leather case. |

| John Ross Storey’s dream of having his own winery was finally brought to fruition when he accepted a "buyout" from his day job as a photojournalist with the San Francisco Chronicle in the fall of 2005. Having been a founding partner and co-winemaker in the successful Eric Ross Winery since its inception in 1994, John is not new to producing quality wine. |

| Wine grapes and wine making arrived in California by way of the Spanish Missionaries. In 1769, Franciscan missionary Father Junipero Serra planted the first California vineyard at Mission San Diego. He established eight more missions and vineyards before his death in 1784 and has been called the "Father of California Wine. |
